Our Purpose —
Why We Do This

Every Swim Should End in Smiles

We believe drowning is preventable — not by luck or hope, but by designing safety into every swim.

Swimming pools are meant for laughter, play, and time with family and friends. But for parents, they can also bring a quiet layer of concern.

Drowning happens quickly — often silently — and it can affect anyone. Young children can slip beneath the surface in seconds. Adults can face risk from fatigue, limited swim skills, sudden health emergencies, or impaired judgment.

Many drowning incidents occur at residential pools because of proximity, though a significant number also happen in community pools.

In cases involving young children, over half of incidents are linked to gaps in adult supervision — even when at least one adult is present.

Drowning can be fatal or nonfatal. Nonfatal drowning may result in no visible injury, or it can lead to brain damage, permanent disability, and lifelong psychological trauma.

We have all heard heartbreaking stories of well-intentioned adults with limited water safety skills jumping in to rescue someone — only to become victims themselves.

Even with fences, alarms, wearables, and watchful adults, real life is imperfect.

Each year in the United States, roughly 4,000 to 4,500 lives are lost to unintentional drowning.

Worldwide, over 230,000 people die annually.

Behind every number is a family forever changed.

Because parents deserve more than constant anxiety.

Because children deserve the freedom to play safely.

Because families deserve protection that works quietly in the background.
